The layout all throughout “Bout Time” is not only functional for everyone aboard but also comfortable. For the captain:The lower helm placement directly in the center of the boat allows the captain a clear 360 view, with side slide doors to both port and starboard of helm allows easy access to deck and rails for simplicity of line handling when docking. The captain’s chair is very comfortable with arm rests and adjustable. The upper helm captain’s chair is also placed in the center of the boat, all electronics and controls within easy reach, yet placed between two comfortable bench settees so the captain can still be with crew and guests. The Stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters make boat handling a breeze. The updated electronics and integrated systems simplify course plotting and trip planning.Access to the engine room is easily with doors along the lower companionway both forward and aft of each engine. The generator room is one step down from galley floor through a large hatch. Both areas are well lit and offer extra storage space. This vessel also comes with a lot of the extra parts every boat needs for continued maintenance such as filters, oil, belts, hoses, etc.For the crew/guests:This vessel is three levels of comfortable spaces and places to enjoy. On the main/center level there is a wide, hard covered (fiberglass) aft deck with a pair of very nice glider wicker chairs and a love seat, plenty of room for a table for Alfresco dining or enjoying a drink from the wet bar with mini fridge. The new Eisinglass can be opened all around to enjoy the open-air breezes or closed for rain and still enjoy the outside while staying dry. The beautiful wood doors can be open to the large interior main salon where there in a nice leather couch and leather chair with coffee table, a great place to watch TV, listen to music or just sit in front of the electric fireplace if the evenings are chilly.Going below via the curved wood staircase there is a well-appointed galley with a multitude of cabinets and drawers as well as a large U-shaped countertop for food prep. The galley table can comfortably seat 4 adults. Going forward into the bow area there are two large twin bunks, over under, plus a butler’s pantry for lots of storage of supplies and or provisions. This is also where the washer and dryer are housed behind nice teak doors.Going aft of the galley through a nice paneled companionway, there is a large guest cabin with an oversized twin bed, large closet and a complete office set up with built-in computer desk, large work counter, 11 drawers, 7 cabinets and a very deep hanging locker.Across from the guest cabin is the large day/guest head that shares a shower with the master ensuite head. The shower is “Jack and Jill” style with two opposite locking doors for privacy. There is a ceramic sink with mirrored storage above and slide cabinets below.Further aft is the full beam width master cabin with walk-around Queen bed, walk-in, double door closet, two built-in nightstands and large bank of drawers. There are a total of 29 drawers, so there is no lacking storage in the master cabin. It is wired for direct TV in the master and has a DVD player. The master head is large with a nice sink and lots of counter space, mirrored cabinets above and more cabinets below.“Bout Time” is a definite must see in person to appreciate vessel. Don’t let her age deter you from consideration if you are looking for a smooth handling, well taken care of, solid boat that you and your guests will be very comfortable cruising to the islands, up and down the ICW or just enjoying marina life. She has been very well maintained and upgraded throughout the years. Take a little time and look at how many Hatteras’s are still on the water today, even though they were built many years ago. The saying IS true: "They just don’t make them like they used too!”Note:all photos and videos, except the out-of-water pictures, were all taken 11/2019, so these are recent photos.
