Description
1988 Brewer 44′
ANGEL WING
The popular and well-regarded Brewer 44 was the final, and best, iteration of the Whitby 42/Brewer 12.8 models. Built in the USA by Fort Myers Yacht and Shipbuilding, the construction is simple yet well executed and more than 300 of these models have been built. An active Owner’s Association supporting the three versions of this hull and deck combination has a wealth of information available to fans.
ANGEL WING has been owned by her current owners for more than 20 years and enjoyed a cruising lifestyle including most of the U.S.’s eastern seaboard and the Bahamas, with side trips to Mexico. With a newer Mack Stack Pack mainsail and furling headsails, the boat is easily managed by a cruising couple, but large enough for another couple to enjoy weeks at harbor or at sea. A centerboard keeps draft to a minimum when anchoring and gets plenty deep when sailing to weather, while the cutter rig keeps sails of manageable size and low enough air draft for ICW trips.
Updated Frigiboat refrigeration and freezer compartments, new upholstery throughout the boat, new heads, a large separate shower stall in the owners’ aft stateroom, and even an electric clothes dryer add up to some amazing comfort and convenience. Come take a look and see what makes this such a popular couples’ cruising boat.
